PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
In the coming year as a professional science educator, I plan to improve myself in way I teaching in science subject to make our student in Malaysia more understand and interesting when learn science subject. I also want to change their perceptions about science is one of killer subject to science is subject to their score in exam. Teach them with love to make them more understanding in learning process. I also want to apply student centered in my classroom, all my student involve in teaching and learning process and also can develop their soft skill.
In my experience teaching science, I have found that student nowadays more advances in technology compared to the teacher, so we as the teacher must learn how to adapt with technology to stand together with the student. Our students in Malaysia also lack of the soft skill in their life, it our responsible for teacher to develop the skill there are some challenges that I face.
I am dedicated improving myself in the way I teaching my student to make them more understand and interesting about science. I am dedicated to learning more about living things in our life. I really interested to know more about our genetic and the diversity in our world. My beliefs teaching science are we must know how to related what we teach to the surrounding, it for students more understanding. We as teacher also must teach from our heart and patience to educate our students.
MEETING GOALS
I plan to continue my formal studies in University Science Malaysia education in relation to the Genetic study.
I plan to attend science education conferences to improve my knowledge in science and know more friends and change the knowledge each other and exchange the teaching skill.
I plan to attend workshops in business; it can earn money for me. The money can improve my life and in the same times I can help my students that have financial problems.
DESCRIBE TEACHING GOALS:
Goal 1: In the classroom, I will work to enhance or improve student learning in way their study, student must have study in group and present their work to friends it will more expert about that topic. I also must be a creative teacher to make sure student not bored when learn science.
Goal 2: In the classroom, I will work to enhance or improve my skills in assessment to student, I will give them to elaborate more about what they have learn to ensure they fully understand and at the end of topic I will do quiz or competition between group to look their understanding about topic.
Goal 3: In the classroom, I will integrate student level in the class; it will help me to teach them based on their level.
